I don’t really think it’s the caffeine ( i could be way off here), it’s the muscle memory, the touchstone of doing the next thing, (the first thing, in this case, other than whispering a prayer of thanks for the day), the moment of ritual and self-care, a small cup to gather my thoughts. This is what I savor.  Sometimes I don’t even drink the whole thing.Sometimes I come back for more.
