I love how despite the distance, the distraction of kids in the background (Lego/ teeth emergencies! Crises over who will do the gathering and who will do the washing of eggs!) she checks on me even while wading through her own unimaginable grief.  I love how she gets it, the beauty and mess, the joys and disappointments. I love how inevitably our calls are cut short but punctuated with to be continued, as always.
