I need to try harder to remember what these in-between years were like. How she feels the weight of the world and all its crushing expectations on her shoulders but would just be happy curled up in a chair reading a book (sans pesky brothers of course). How do I gracefully, graciously lead her into the complex roles of womanhood? Especially with our friendship in tact.
